New World International School - Events
Let's make things happen!
Along with playing and making friends, our students learn about the world around them. Here are some photos of our students on field trips and at school having fun learning, playing and creating. Many more photos (in full size) are available to our students' parents so they can share these memories with their children.
Potato Picking
Autumn is harvest time, and we learned about the hard work farmers have to do to feed us. We went to a farm to help the farmer picking sweet potatoes and Japanese radish. It was hard work, but a lot of fun! We took a good rest under the trees and enjoyed our lunches.
Visit to the Police Department
In February we learned about community workers. To see what the police are really doing, we visited the police department. Police officers told us about their jobs and taught us how to be safe in traffic. Everybody got to sit in a police car or on a police bike.
Christmas Show
Santa paid a visit to our school. He had presents for everybody. Unfortunately Eddy was absent. He had to check out the location for the big Christmas Show. The show was a great success. The Kindergardeners performed 'The Golden Goose'-play and the Pre Schoolers told the 'Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see'-story.
Halloween Party
Halloween without a Jack O'Lantern is no Halloween! Everybody helped making the lanterns and the decoration for the party. The school was crowded and there were fun games to play, like fishing for toys in jelly. Of course everybody was dressed up in their scariest and prettiest costumes.
Trip to Enoshima
After learning about marine life all our students and parents went to Enoshima, where we saw many fish and other sea creatures. We also saw a dolphin show, and some of us were lucky to feed the giant turtles.
